Our country hangs once again in the balance, trying to save itself from a very old enemy; Politics, which have made it impossible for the country to move forward, to make some progress.
Our already disgraced prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has just been ousted from the position. As sad as it looks, a new nominee a certain Mr. Makhdoum had just been nominated for the position but as soon as he could celebrate the ANF filed a warrant against making him null in the elections.
What our "un-concerned" president wants the current government to crawl it's till march, so that the constitutions 5years can end.
I personally don't understand the politics in this country, but what i do understand is that we are a joke amongst other countries.

"Government to keep CNG at 60 per cent of petrol price"
Isn't this just fantastic news? For once my country has surprised me, and for once "our" country has shown some progress. The past few months have been horrible with Petrol and CNG prices soaring, people had to limit their travel which in inadvertently caused downfalls in the industrial area. Now that the prices have been lowered down, maybe we can now continue on to make progress.
Today, the news was kind of different. It made me actually believe in our country for once, the new budget has just been announced; according to which Pakistan's economy is growing at a never before rate of 3.7 % and on top of that the best news of the MONTH I reckon is of the CNG prices. Which happened to fall down by 6.50 rs.
All of this has inspired me to believe in that our country is maybe just maybe growing and maturing up. For all we know Pakistan might even be able to redeem itself as a sovereign nation.

What has our country come to? A place where basic commodities like petrol and cng are closed down for days at a time!! Recently, Cng prices have hiked upto 79-80 rs, recalling back the days when it started at 32 rs. Okay so I know the country is under severe debt, but that does not give the government a reason to siphon all the funds of the middle class family. Commuters who depends on buses, now CNG cannot get to work or universities. For example, I was late for class yesterday because I was waiting in the CNG line, a 2 hour long line.
